八ヶ岳連峰の一峰「硫黄岳」⛰️
Mount Iou, one of the peaks in the Yatsugatake Mountain Range⛰️,

山頂には直径300m以上ともいわれる巨大な「爆裂火口」が口を開けています🔥
boasts a massive explosion crater over 300 meters in diameter at its summit🔥.

その迫力ある姿は、いったいどんなふうにしてできたのか？気になりますよね？👀
Isn’t it fascinating to wonder how such an impressive formation came to be?👀


今回、はじめて山小屋泊にチャレンジ！🏠
This time, I challenged myself to stay overnight at a mountain hut for the first time!🏠

泊まったのは「オーレン小屋」
I stayed at “Oren Hut.”

名物の桜鍋をいただき、山小屋では珍しい檜風呂♨️にも入って、心も体もぽかぽかに♪
I enjoyed their specialty, sakura-nabe (horse meat hot pot), and soaked in a rare cypress wood bath♨️, warming both my body and soul♪

風呂上がりにはサプライズが！✨
After the bath, a surprise awaited!✨

光の魔術師として知られる写真家で、人気YouTuberのIlkoStyleさんと偶然出会い、
I happened to meet IlkoStyle, a photographer known as the “Magician of Light” and a popular YouTuber.

短いけどとっても楽しい時間を過ごしました😊📸
Though brief, we shared a really enjoyable time together😊📸.

そして迎えた２日目☀️
Then came the second day☀️.

登りは天気に恵まれて最高！
The weather was perfect for the ascent!

でも山頂に着くとガスで真っ白…絶景はお預けでした😅
But when I reached the summit, thick fog blanketed everything… so no breathtaking views this time😅.

それでも予定通り硫黄岳山荘まで足を伸ばして、冷たい飲み物でリフレッシュ🥤
Still, I made my way to the Iou Mountain Hut as planned and refreshed myself with a cold drink🥤.

休憩のあと山頂に戻ると、なんと天気が回復！
After the break, I returned to the summit, and to my surprise, the weather cleared up!

迫力満点の爆裂火口が姿を現し、圧倒されました😲🔥
The breathtaking explosion crater appeared before me, leaving me in awe😲🔥.

そんな爆裂火口、実は噴火じゃなく山体崩壊でできたという最新の研究結果があるんです！🧐
Recent research shows that this explosion crater wasn’t formed by an eruption, but rather by a massive landslide!🧐
