「かるた甲子園」と呼ばれ、各都道府県の予選を勝ち抜いた高校が日本一を掛けて争う5人制団体戦。
団体戦は、1対1の試合が5組並んで同時に対戦を行い、3人以上勝った方が勝ち点を挙げる形式で行われます。
