木村氏が改作素材として準備していたのは、木箱で培養中の瑞祥だった。骨格はほぼ完成されている超一級素材。
「一から作れる瑞祥には綺麗な樹形を持ったものが多い。しかし、逆に言えば風雪や極寒といった自然の厳しさを思わせる樹は少ない」
改作前に語った木村氏の手によって、正統派の太幹模様木として豊かな素養を持つこの樹はどのような変貌をとげるのか。

The material that Mr. Kimura had prepared for the adaptation was Zuisho, which was being cultured in a wooden box. The skeleton is almost complete and is made of top-class material.
``Many Zuisho trees that can be made from scratch have beautiful tree shapes.However, on the other hand, there are few trees that remind us of the harshness of nature, such as wind, snow, and extreme cold.''
What kind of transformation will this tree, which has a rich background as an orthodox thick-trunk patterned tree, undergo in the hands of Mr. Kimura, who spoke before the adaptation?

The April 2024 issue of the monthly "Kindai Bonsai" (released on March 4) provides a more detailed explanation of Mr. Kimura's adaptation of this book.
This is a 19-page special feature that covers the current situation of Zuisho, which was called the "dream tree species," in Reiwa.
